Getting into the right class on your first visit, especially if you've never done yoga before, can make or break your studio experience. Set yourself up for success by choosing a class that makes sense for your experience level and fitness goals. For new practitioners we recommend attending Prizm Power Yoga I, Yoga Burn, and/or Restorative Yin Yoga the first few times you attend class.

Beginner's Tips for Success

  • Pick a class!
  • Arrive fifteen (15) minutes early. Introduce yourself to the instructor and inform them of any concerns.
  • Bring a mat, water bottle, and towel or rent them at the studio.
  • Dress appropriately - Wear fitted exercise clothing you feel comfortable moving in.
  • Drink water - Hydrate your body both pre/post class.
  • Be open-minded! Try different classes and instructors to find the type that suits you and your personal goals.
